After 35 + years in the industry, we understand the importance of pairing a high quality roller door, with a high quality automation system. The average automation system pairing is made up of 3 key components: tubular motor, control unit and safety edge / obstacle detection. Depending on which control system you opt for your safety edge / obstacle detection would be built in to the doors lower rubber seal in either resistive or optical form. Our state of the art 'Rollsmart' option however features the obstacle detection on the guide of the door, perfect for doors in rural areas where rodents may bite through the rubber edge of the door. The majority of our control systems are equipped with a built in burglar alarm, should anyone try and lift your door, a 100-105Db audio alarm will sound.

77MM VS 55MM roller doors:

Here at Roller Doors Wales we're all about honesty and meeting expectations. That's why we're open and honest about the difference between a 77MM roller door and a 55MM roller door. Where possible, we always recommend a 77MM roller door. They're stronger, thicker and offer greater insulation values than the 55MM roller door. However, some garages are not suited for a 77MM roller door. Therefor, using the 55MM roller door with added security may be a better option.
